Interview With Dave Correa

Q. Hello Dave Correa, I first want to take the time out and say thank you very much for doing this interview with united states trance movement.

A. Hey USTM! Thanks for This Opportunity, Glad i’m the first Interview For the Movement ;)

Q. We all know the Trance Scene here in the states is still growing, how do you feel about the trance movement here in the states? how is the scene in your eyes at the moment?

A. I’m very excited of whats to come from the state’s movement. Iv’e been at many shows and club events in NYC, Miami, Los Angeles and Buffalo to name a few, and i can see the numbers multiplying every year which makes me pumped!

Q. How did it all begin for you as a dj.

A. For me it all began years back when i went to my first real club . I saw Sean Tyas spin and quickly fell in love with the experience , the music, and the environment.

Q. What was the first event you ever played at/put on?

A. The first real trance event i did was closing out for Simon Patterson a few years back in NYC.

Q. What’s you favorite tune of all time?

A. Favorite tunes of all time?..Hmm.. I have a couple that i will never forget and always love to play, Sean Tyas – Lift, Simon Patterson- Bulldozer, Dogzilla- Without you, and Dj Eco- Tonight is forever.

Q. What do you do outside of the dance music scene?

A. Boats! Bars and Beaches! Growing up on long island ive been used to being around all of those which make them my favorite! i’ve even worked and djed on large passenger cruise lines!

Q. How excited are you to close for Richard Durand on the 31st of July. You have any surprises in stored?

A. Super Excited :) I’m Absolutely Pumped for it! Will be a night to remember :D

Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 years with your djing career.

A. Hopefully doing more International gigs and getting all my productions completed

Q. From reading your Biography, we can see that your Colombian. When’s the last time you went back to your mother country? Do you miss it? How is the Trance Scene Over
there?

A. I went back to Colombia last year. The Electronica Scene as a whole is growing massively and from speaking to fellow dj’s that have visited, It is party central!!

Q. Do you produce? if not, is it something you would like to do in the future?

A. do produce, the hardest part is always finishing. im such a perfectionist that i never want to stop editing and reediting my productions. but soon alot will be out in mass quantities!!!
