First signings for The Right Track:
Daniel Gibson & Josh Gabriel
Amsterdam, September 1st, 2010 – After recently kicking off with his new management company, The Right Track, Ruud Kooijman now presents the first two signings. He welcomes American DJ/producer Josh Gabriel and Swedish songwriter/producer Daniel Gibson.
Daniel Gibson
This Swedish multi-talent has had cuts on more than 100 international releases, either written or produced by him. Daniel Gibson worked together with the likes of German band Oomph, Guano Ape’s front-lady Sandra Nasic and rock band Within Temptation. It’s no coincidence Daniel is the first to be signed to The Right Track Music. Kooijman:”After getting to know Daniel back around 1999 and closing a publishing deal, we had some great years together at EMI Music Publishing. It’s a privilege to once again collaborate with this talented gentleman and now representing Daniel’s interests as his manager and work on his career in the years to come.” Daniel Gibson, who’s currently focusing on production and creating new challenges, is looking forward to work together as well. Gibson:”I’m happy and very motivated that I will be working with Ruud again. I’m convinced we will accomplish great things together.”
Josh Gabriel
The second artist to be signed to The Right Track plays an important role in electronic dance music. Award-winning producer and songwriter of multiple chart-hits Josh Gabriel signed up for a long-term deal with The Right Track. The U.S. born Amsterdam resident is known for his work and collaborations under the Gabriel & Dresden moniker, as well as projects like ‘Andain’, ‘Winter Kills’ and ‘Motorcycle’, turning them into various Billboard hits. Some years ago he chose a new direction and kicked off with his own record label, Different Pieces. Ruud Kooijman is very excited to have this multifaceted artist signed to his management company. Kooijman:”Josh Gabriel is actively working on remixes and new projects like Winter Kills and Andain and is busy DJ’ing around the globe. Releases are coming up at Armada Music and other labels such as Black Hole Recordings and I am personally thrilled and proud that such an established, skilled and talented artist chose The Right Track to look after his interests world-wide.”
The management company, The Right Track, is based in Amsterdam and has launched a month ago, offering a full management and consultancy service to songwriters, producers, DJ’s and artists. The Managing Director and co-owner, Ruud Kooijman, was previously head of A&R at EMI Music Publishing and Managing Director for Sony/ATV Publishing in Benelux.
