Des McMahon ( Washington, DC )
Amidst a 1990’s musical landscape populated by boy bands, hip-hop infused R&B crooners and alternative grunge rock, he rose. Growing taller than rap music from the dirty south, higher than force fed patriotic country music, beyond Brittney Spears, Philadelphia native Des McMahon managed to climb the beanstalk and find the golden egg that is electronic dance music. The seed, planted by late 90’s trance, 303 acid lines and the East Coast rave scene, fertilized by Armin van Buuren’s “A State of Trance 2006? and finally pruned by the sounds of artists like Sean Tyas, Simon Pattersnon and John O’Callaghan; that seed brought Des McMahon to where he stands today, a star burning bright, yet to be discovered. Nonetheless, trance scientists across the globe like John Askew, Mark Sherry, Lee Haslam, Adam Foley, Will Atkinson, Philly’s own Tom Colontonio and his primary influence, Sean Tyas, have experimented with the trance potions of Des McMahon.
Characterized by his emphasis on hard percussion, plucked melodies and 303’s, Des McMahon’s productions have been signed and released on labels including Kubik Records, BansheeWorx, Stampgevaar Digital and Soup Recordings. You can hear his most potent concoctions via the iTunes Music Store, Beatport, or Audiojelly. McMahon’s radio show “East Coast Energy” can be heard on the first Sunday of every month at 7pm EST on 1Mix Radio (check your iTunes or visit 1mix.co.uk).
Cited as a producer to watch for in 2010 by Will Atkinson (tranceawards.com/myyear/willatkinson), Des has been relentless in the laboratory as of late, filling beakers with kicks, vials with filters and blowing holes in the wall with melodic interludes laced with gut wrenching drops. His natural instinct when it comes to the production formula is awe-inspiring, yet he remains unsatisfied.
Driven not by money, power, women or fame, Des remains humble, seeking the enchanted connection that exists between DJ and audience. Focused and driven, McMahon’s inspiration comes from you, the listener; derived from the pain of being on the outside looking in and the knowledge that we may stand united, fused by instinct, emotion and music from the hand of a DJ.

Who would ever guess that 18 years ago a 12 year boy would start his adventure of a lifetime? Who would even think that a day in detention at school would end up leading to a dream? Well I guess you would agree that dreams are started in strange places. The principal came in to detention to have Sisco help the DJ set up for the after school dance. With nothing else to do, what could be a better way to end the day. After setting up Sisco stayed and watched in total amazement, wondering if this was something he could do? “I started carrying records around for a couple DJ’s and playing on the tables at the beginning of the shows.”
After 3 years DJ Sisco was born again and had became a successful mobile DJ and started to perform for some large night clubs. At age 15 DJ Sisco was the resident DJ at a club called Charlie’s in Muncie Indiana . Then at 17 DJ Sisco was headlining at club full of Ball State University Students. In 1999 DJ Sisco took over that small town night club in Muncie, Indiana and turned it around to be in the top 5 night clubs in the U.S. (October 1999, Playboy Magazine). He started getting calls from surrounding cities. Performing in clubs such as The Vogue, On Cue and doing some shows with radio station 93.1 in Indianapolis. It was time for a move, so DJ Sisco packed his things and moved to the city of Indianapolis to start performing for The Velvet Lounge and Club Vapor. The world then really started moving fast and he was getting called to many other places in Illinois and Ohio.
In 2004 DJ Sisco was live on 104.1 WLBC and the headlining DJ for Muncie Mardi Gras in front of 15,000 people. “Of course I was nervous, but then I put the needle on the record and it happened. The world stopped and the music kept going!” Now comes more articles. DJ Sisco was a full page article in Up 2 Date Magazine as the newest rising DJ in the area. 2005 he was offered a residency spot in Tampa Florida. With no hesitation, he packed up and moved to the south. Still his fans from home were calling. Platinum Events flew DJ Sisco up to be the headlining DJ for the White Tour. Once again a full page article was done in the news paper in Bloomington Indiana . 2007 Chris Carter (formally a DJ for 104.1 WLBC) brought him back to headline for a big show in Terre Haute . Once again he was in front of thousands of people. Last year, DJ Sisco was in front of St Pete Times Forum performing for the XFC in a DJ Battle. Its now 2009 and DJ Sisco still amazes people with his seamless mixes, cuts and fast hands. “I am working on many projects and tours. The one I am most excited about is not finalized yet, but I want to do a Giving Back Tour. It’s the 10 year anniversary of the Playboy Article and I want to go back to Muncie Indiana and Make Some Noise.
DJ Ted Rivera ( Ft Lauderdale )

As a DJ Ted Rivera started his quest for sonic perfection at the very early age of 13 when his mom purchased his first set of turntables and mixer. The reason behind it was to keep this kid home and off the streets of New York. Well this worked for his parents and he then developed into a well rounded DJ and producer. Fast forward to his first live performance at the age of 18 when he played at The Palladium Night Club in NYC. Their young Dee Jay Ted Rivera ran into none other than Madonna as she moved her way to the packed dance floor. When he looked down he could not believe his eyes and well needless to say banged out a set that tore up the dance floor. Madonna made her way to the DJ booth to say hello and meet Rivera and she could not believe her eyes, but she could trust her ears. She told this young DJ “keep up the good work” and “Man Your Good”
In the early 90s Ted Rivera made his mark in Puerto Rico being named the number one DJ the island had to offer. This newfound fame propelled him to almost superstar status as he headed a daily TV show called Party Time. Working with studio producers he decided to stay on TV and Radio where he maintained a nightly dance music program called sound escapes on X-100FM. Missing the night club scene Ted Rivera then moved to South West Florida searching for that one club that he could bring his unique style to, The quest was a hard one as he found out everything happens on South Beach 80 miles from his then residence.
Off he went to South Florida is search if that one club that would appreciate what he could offer and bring to the people. Once in South Florida Ted Rivera found South Beaches Winter Music Conference and play yes he did performing a killer opening set for Deadmau5. Ted Rivera is no stranger to the big venues and to the big name DJs in the industry. He has in the past played along side Sasha and Dig, Tiesto, Carl Cox, Above and Beyond and Markus Schulz. As he found his way though all the smaller clubs making it to Club Space and Then Crobar two of the biggest Night Clubs in South Beach where the venue was fit for what he wanted his audience to experience.
Currently Ted Rivera is working the local club circuit in the Miami / Ft Lauderdale area of South Florida. Also as a music producer and re-mixer he has collaborated with such names as Markus Schulz and Elevation. Two very heavy hitters in the Trance World. Also he as the production manager for Markus Schulz’s weekly radio show Global DJ Broadcast this opened his ear for music production. Schulz saw the raw talent Rivera possessed and asked him to join his team.

A young gun DJ brings the best of Trance and Progressive tunes. The name Tein, which is a Japaneses word meaning heaven, was given to him to remind him of the people who have influenced his life and to remind him how we all affect each other. His show, the TKO Sound Session, is his effort to unite people, remind them of their commonalities and shared goals, and to provide an escape from naysayers. While he believes he is just learning to crawl in the world of DJing, Tein mixes outstanding sets and establishes groovy flows. Be sure to check him out!
DJ Xenology ( Denver, Colorado )
Xenology got his start in early 2004 as DJ Dragons Gate when he met DJ Brian from Washington who first introduced him to the concept of mixing. A few months later noticed by local online radio producers DJ Xen was granted 3 hours every Saturday to mix any trance / dance / progressive tracks he liked and had many eager listeners every Saturday lined up to see what he was going to spin next. After this DJ Xen worked for some production companies around his hometown of Denver and eventually progressed from virtual mixing into the physical medium turntables. After some discrepancies Xenology now owns and operates his own company titled Xen Productions and does local shows anywhere he can perform. Shows have included live sets on his college campus as well as private shows for friends and family. Future shows hope to include many high school / middle school dances as well as hopefully another online radio show. Xenology’s passion for music has always been strong and he regularly listens to music to keep up to date on what is hot in the Trance scene as well as any remixes of popular hip hop / modern rock / classic rock remixes. Friends of Xenolgy know that one day he will make it big. He aspires to become on of the worlds best among ranks such as ATB, Paul Van Dyke, and even Tiesto
